Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina made a generous donation to County Outreach Ministry (COM) to fund the STAR (“Show Them A Reason”) Champion Enrichment Program over the recent holiday break.
Mike Peterson, a Sr. Regional Liaison with Blue Cross NC’s County Engagement Team, presented COM with $5,000 to support the program, which provides structured activities, social/emotional development programs, and healthy, nutritional meals and snacks to over 20 children when county schools are out of session.
Blue Cross NC’s County Engagement Team seeks to support community drivers of health on a local level and found an excellent partner in this endeavor through County Outreach Ministry.”
