SECU Foundation Answers Call for Help with Challenge Grant for Rowan County Non-Profit

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 01, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A $1.5 million challenge grant from SECU Foundation was recently awarded to Partners in Learning in Rowan County. The organization is seeking to raise the additional capital to expand services for families of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the construction of an education and clinical services facility at its new campus in Salisbury. The Foundation’s commitment is earmarked for the site’s SECU Family Development Clinic.

Community Foundation of Henderson County Announces Scholarships

Hendersonville, N.C., November 2, 2021 – Community Foundation of Henderson County has announced the opening of their scholarship applications for the 2022-23 academic year. The Foundation is offering nearly $600,000 in new and renewable academic scholarships for the upcoming school year through 275 award opportunities for local students. Scholarship applications opened on the Foundation’s website, cfhcforever.org, November 1. Graduating seniors, current college students, and returning adult/nontraditional students are all encouraged to apply. All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2022.

Impact Alamance Invests $650,000 in Community Projects

SECU Foundation Helps Advance UNC Health Foundation Pilot for NC Public School Students

RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 07, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SECU Foundation is pleased to join the collaborative efforts of UNC Health Foundation and other key organizations for a new telemedicine pilot addressing child and adolescent behavioral health issues for North Carolina public school students.   A $1.97 million grant from SECU Foundation will assist the non-profit with the three-year development and implementation of a school-based virtual health program to reduce barriers for psychiatric care through telehealth services. UNC will pilot the program at two sites representing rural and urban regions of the state to identify best practices and the potential expansion for a statewide model.
