Graphic Facilitation is a valuable tool in your community-building toolkit and can:

- Help get everyone on the same page.
- Elegantly handle different points of view – this technique creates a neutral entity (the cart!) to hold the hot spots.
- Increases the level of dialogue more quickly. In building charts together, they all share the same basic landscape of their problem, freeing them to find solutions.
- Involve all the major learning styles, so you’ll hold the attention of all participants – not just a few.

NCNG, in collaboration with Leapfrog Consulting, presents a two-day workshop called Principles of Graphic Facilitation. The session combines the theory and practice of graphic facilitation with the fundamentals of graphic recording. It is informed by David Sibbet's definitive book Graphic Facilitation: Transforming Groups with the Power of Visual Listening.

Participants will learn to draw, create large-format displays, record, and practice facilitating and receiving feedback They will also design a meeting process and learn about methods of documenting visual meetings. This workshop is a full immersion in the best practices for applying visual language to group processes.

Highlights

-  Gain hands-on practice recording with blank paper using visual formats to focus a group's conversation
-  Learn a starter repertoire of graphic icons for graphic recording
-  Use the Four Flows of facilitation—attention, energy, information and operations—to gain insight about your own facilitation practice and your clients' needs
