We will be joined by global philanthropy advisor Kris Putnam-Walkerly, MSW, president of Putnam Consulting Group. At this dynamic and provocative session specifically for the staff and board members of emerging health legacy foundations you will learn:

• How to manage – and exceed – expectations
• Ten essential roles of foundation boards and board members
• Six Mistakes New Foundation Boards Make, and How To Avoid Them
• The power dynamic of being the funder

Ms. Putnam-Walkerly has advised over 50 foundations, including many health legacy foundations. She specializes in foundation board trainings, and will be offering practical expertise in the area of board roles, good grantmaking, continuous learning, and looking ahead. In addition, she will be joined by seasoned board members Margaret Arbuckle and Steve Sumerford from the Cone Health Foundation who will share their experiences and lessons learned.
