Health care policy is on the federal agenda this year, and there is much at stake for North Carolina’s families and communities. In addition to repeal and replace of the Affordable Care Act, Congress is considering changes to the Medicaid program, which constitutes 67% of all federal funds that North Carolina receives. The Children’s Health Insurance Program is also due to expire on September 30, 2017. In North Carolina, 1.4 million rely on Medicaid and CHIP for their coverage.
While much discussion has occurred on the ACA, less attention has been paid to the future of Medicaid and CHIP and the impact on children and families of proposed changes. Join us to learn more about what is on the horizon, and how funders are responding to these challenges and potential changes both nationally and in other states.

This webinar will be led by Joan Alker, executive director of the Center for Children and Families at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy, and Jann Jackson, senior associate with the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
