What matters most to nonprofits? Is there a keystone habit or practice that we should be focusing on? These are the questions we’re asking on our search to discover what grantmaker practices make the biggest difference for nonprofits. We hope you’ll join us in Raleigh on May 3, 2017 to share your insights!

As you may know, earlier this year GEO conducted a study to learn about grantmaker practices that affect nonprofit success. We will compile the results of this year’s survey into Is Grantmaking Getting Smarter?, but we’re offering you an exclusive first look at what you and your peers had to say!

Join us on May 3, 2017 for an opportunity to see the survey results before anyone else, help us make meaning of the survey results, and discuss with us what GEO should prioritize over the next three years. Because we’re after change that will create the greatest results, we’re inviting both grantmakers and nonprofits to participate in this conversation. Lunch will be provided.

This event is hosted by GEO and NCNG as part of their dedicated partnership work in North Carolina.

GEO is a diverse community of more than 550 grantmakers working to reshape the way philanthropy operates. Understanding that grantmakers are successful only to the extent that their grantees achieve meaningful results, GEO promotes strategies and practices that contribute to grantee success.

The North Carolina Network of Grantmakers (NCNG) connects more than 100 North Carolina foundations and corporate giving programs to a network of knowledge, resources, and sector colleagues that help them meet their mission, serve the community and operate more efficiently and effectively.

Additional support for this event is provided by the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits.

The North Carolina Center for Nonprofits' mission is to enrich North Carolina's communities and economy through a strong nonprofit sector and nonprofit voice. The Center serves as an information center on effective practices in nonprofit organizations, a statewide network for nonprofit board and staff members, and an advocate for the nonprofit sector as a whole.
