Information for Grantmakers

North Carolina grantmakers work in an increasingly challenging and complex environment. Finding information quickly - about the content areas and populations you care about, practices for effective grantmaking, current research and program models - is an important success factor. Whether you are an donor-advised fundholder, foundation staff member or trustee, or a corporate giving professional, you can rely on NCNG as a resource for your philanthropy.

The Resource Center section of our site (see links left) features useful references and links that are relevant for anyone seeking to learn more about the field of philanthropy. In addition, we have also created resource areas designed to address the interests of specific types of grantmakers - family foundations, corporate grantmakers, and community foundations.

NCNG members can access more extensive resources and a directory of NCNG members, by linking to the Members Area (password required).

Our North Carolina "funder finder" is now on-line. This searchable database of NCNG members and other N.C. grantmakers will help you - or your grantees - identify foundations in North Carolina by their geographic and/or content area focus, and learn more about their grantmaking. (Thanks to our Greensboro area members for sharing their prototype with NCNG.) (password required).
