Education Funders’ Initiative

Recently, NCNG Education Funders' have engaged in a joint education initiative to consider how organized philanthropy might better understand their impact and more effectively address statewide education policy issues and leverage philanthropic dollars to improve North Carolina’s education system.

To accomplish this, working groups have been established to focus on various aspects of K-12 education in North Carolina. Members of each group are participating in monthly conference calls between November and March to discuss research and direct inquiry around these topics and to drive toward specific recommendations for state improvement in each of these areas.

Interested in joining the effort? Please contact us. To access the information for the working groups, such as reading materials and group information, please click on the work group title below.

Full Group Findings

As we work toward our goal of a set of recommendations/priorities for improving K-12 education in North Carolina, we will want to be able to share information about our working group findings and discussions across all participants. Click here to review the central page with key readings and documents relevant to all working groups.
