Alleghany County Community Foundation accepting grant applications

The board of advisors of the Alleghany County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for projects funded from its community grantmaking fund, according to Pratt Davis, board president.
Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Alleghany County. Applications are available online beginning March 17. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org for information about applying. The deadline for submitting applications is noon April 18.
The Alleghany County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The community grantmaking fund was established to support local charitable needs through annual grants. In addition to Davis, board members include: Greg Bare (vice president),Terry Edwards (secretary), Kay Choplin (treasurer), Debbie Bare, Michael Beres, Edward Choplin, Ashley Flowers, Sandy League, Steve Mason, Ed Moore and Joe Ward.
