North Carolina Community Foundation offers more than 120 College Scholarships- now open for applications across North Carolina

Feb. 11, 2022 — More than 120 college scholarships administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF) are now open for applications from students across the state, representing more than $1.5 million in available scholarship funds.
NCCF, the single statewide community foundation serving North Carolina, partners with fundholders to administer hundreds of scholarship opportunities across North Carolina. All scholarships are made from specific funds with criteria established by the original donor.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem Foundation is now accepting applications for its scholarship program for the 2022-2023 academic year. Deadlines are March 15 for most merit-based scholarships and July 1 for financial need-based scholarships.

Golden Leaf Foundation's Board of Directors awards $1,714,857 in funding, hears presentations on federal funding opportunities

At the February Board meeting, the Golden LEAF Board of Directors awarded $1,080,800 in funding to support projects through the Open Grants Program and $562,678 in increased Disaster Recovery Grant Program funding. The Golden LEAF Board also approved $71,379 in funding for the NC Rural Center to support the Community-Based Grants Initiative in the Southeast Prosperity Zone. The Board was presented information regarding the use of federal American Rescue Plan (ARPA) funds from the N.C. League of Municipalities and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Government.
