NPIP: Nonprofit Internship Program
The Nonprofit Internship Program (NPIP) pairs college students with NC nonprofits for paid summer internships and is supported by a collaborative of NCNG funders. NPIP serves Pell grant-eligible students for whom unpaid summer internships are not feasible, which, because of the racial wealth gap in the US, disproportionately affects students of color.

NPIP aims to expand paid opportunities for students to explore the nonprofit field and diversify the pool of young nonprofit professionals in NC over time. These students dedicate their summers to working with North Carolina nonprofits to drive positive change across the state. They have tackled issues ranging from public education to conservation and gained experience in research, digital communications, public policy and more.
