Creative Solutions for Local Transportation Challenges

Golden LEAF announces $15.2 million in awards, leverages $14 million in other funds

Dogwood Health Trust Introduces New Grantmaking Process; Launches Online Grant Application Portal

Asheville, N.C. (March 31, 2021) – In an effort to make grants more readily accessible and to streamline the grantmaking process, Dogwood Health Trust has launched an online grant application portal for organizations serving all or part of 18 Western North Carolina counties and The Qualla Boundary. Dogwood is most interested in projects that address one or more of the organization’s four strategic priorities: Housing, Education, Economic Opportunity, and Health & Wellness. WNC Bridge Foundation Announces St. Gerard House as NOW Grant Recipient

WNC Bridge Foundation will award $2,500 in support of the 11th Annual First Words of Hope Luncheon taking place virtually on May 12, 2021 at 12 PM.  The event’s title First Words of Hope, represents many things.  It refers to St. Gerard House’s firm commitment to life individuals to their highest potential, and in doing so, offer parents and loved ones a renewed perspective on life with autism.  The name also pays homage to one of the greatest blessings experienced by St. Gerard House staff, the opportunity to witness a child communicate successfully for the first time.

New Sustainable Communities Program Will Address Climate Change Impacts and Economic Inequities in the Triangle

Cleveland Community College breaks ground on Advanced Manufacturing Center

On Tuesday, March 16, 2021, Golden LEAF President, Chief Executive Officer Scott T. Hamilton joined N.C. legislators, state and local officials, and Cleveland Community College trustees and staff for the official groundbreaking of the new 30,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing center. The new center will provide training programs in mechanical drafting, electronics engineering technology, automation engineering technology, industrial systems technology, and computer integrated machining.
