$100,000 Grant Awarded to Dress for Success Triangle as Part of Triangle Community Foundation’s Women THRIVE project.

Research Triangle Park, November 18, 2020: Triangle Community Foundation has announced a $100,000 grant, awarded to local nonprofit organization Dress for Success Triangle, as part of their Women THRIVE project, to begin the implementation of a pilot program that focuses on workforce development for low-income single mothers in SE Raleigh and East Durham. This funding supports the program’s commitment to partnership with Triangle-area organizations providing critical services to low-income women, and will support current and new programming, evaluation, and technology adaptation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Black Philanthropy Initiative Requests Proposals for Fall Equity in Education Grants Program

The Black Philanthropy Initiative (BPI) is accepting applications for its fall Equity in Education grants program! For this grant cycle, BPI requests proposals that work toward their focus area goal of Advancing Racial Equity in Education so that Black students and graduates can gain access, advance, and have the support needed to thrive. Organizations can apply for grants of up to $10,000.

WNC Bridge Foundation Announces $53,000 Grant to St. Gerard House

The WNC Bridge Foundation has awarded a $53,000 grant to support the placement of a mobile classroom behind St. Gerard House’s Learning House location on Oakland St. The classroom will allow St. Gerard House to expand their programming for school aged group learners. The grant will also support hiring a clinical supervisor so SGH can expand programming.

The Winston-Salem Foundation Announces First Mission-Aligned Investment to Piedmont Business Capital

The Winston-Salem Foundation (WSF) announces the first investment from its new Inclusive Economy Portfolio, a mission-aligned investment fund created to support local businesses and organizations working for social change. The Foundation’s $100,000 investment is being made to nonprofit community lender Piedmont Business Capital (PBC) to provide loans to businesses that are owned by and benefit communities of color in Forsyth County.
