Community Foundation of WNC launches fund to aid Canton's recovery from mill closure

The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina has established a charitable fund related to the Canton mill closure.

Proceeds from the Forward Fund will go to support nonprofits and towns that are impacted by the Pactiv Evergreen plant shutdown earlier this year.

Donation and grant money will be used to support economic recovery and transition in Canton and Haywood County.
