Announcing 10 New Recovery Grants for North Carolina and Florida

Continuing the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP)’s commitment to supporting long-term recovery needs and plans, we are pleased to announce 10 new grants from the CDP 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season Recovery Fund for communities affected by Hurricanes Florence and Michael. This fund was launched to support recovery efforts in North Carolina and Florida with the purpose of:

  • Supporting local long-term recovery groups.
  • Mobilizing resources for housing recovery programs and initiatives.
  • Mobilizing resources for programs and initiatives supporting populations with special needs.

New Hanover County Community Foundation awards more than $50,000 in local grants

The board of advisors of the New Hanover County Community Foundation recently announced $50,860 in local grant awards from its community grantmaking fund, the Suzanne and George Taylor Endowment Fund, the 1898 Memorial Fund and the Lucille Murchison Marvin Fund, according to Kristi Sullivan, board president.

The Foundation for a Healthy High Point awards grants to 8 Non-Profits

High Point, N.C. — On June 19, 2019 the Board of Directors for The Foundation for a Healthy High Point — a private foundation that invests in the advancement of health and wellness for High Point residents — approved a total of $478,800 in grants to local non-profits. $459,800 was approved as part of the Foundation’s Spring Traditional Grant Cycle. Approximately 65% of the awarded funds were for programs addressing Behavioral Health.  In addition, Small Grants Program awards were approved totaling $19,000 to two non-profit organizations.
