Disaster Philanthropy Basics

We continue to watch what feels like a never-ending stream of disasters unfold in our local communities and around the globe – hurricanes, wildfires, a pandemic, floods, and human-made crises. For grantmakers, it’s crucial to know when to respond and how. Since 2010, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) has been helping individuals, foundations and corporations increase the effectiveness of their philanthropic response to disasters and humanitarian crises.

Supporting LGBTQ+ Communities Learning Community

NCNG is establishing a new learning community to bring members together who care about, are interested in, or are currently supporting LGBTQ+ communities. All NCNG members are welcome to join regardless of your organizational role. These meetings will facilitate discussions on various strategies, priorities, and partnerships in supporting LGBTQ+ communities, and address questions or concerns from the group.
