SCOTUS Rulings and What Comes Next for Immigrant Communities
Hosted by Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR)
Event Details
...Several highly consequential immigration policy decisions will be rendered by the court this June, including on “metering” (which prevents asylum seekers from entering the United States), on Temporary Protected Status (which allows hundreds of thousands of individuals to lawfully remain and work in the United States), and on birthright citizenship (enshrined by the 14th Amendment and yet challenged).
Join GCIR for a debrief and analysis of these consequential decisions from organizational plaintiffs as well as leading advocates on the issues. In addition to unpacking the decisions, we will dig into what comes next for impacted communities and the resources needed to put effective strategies into motion.
Who may attend: Staff and board members of foundations, corporate-giving programs, philanthropic consultancies, affinity groups, and invited governmental grantmaking agencies.
