The Ballot and Beyond: 2026 LGBTQ+ Landscape Analysis
From our friends at Funders for LGBTQ Issues
Event Details
Join Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Movement Advancement Project (MAP), and Equality Federation for an analysis and grounding in both the current state and what lies ahead for LGBTQ+ rights in 2026, featuring perspectives from both federal and state levels. F
Logan Casey, Director of Policy Research at MAP, will guide us through key issue areas and emerging trends in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. Vivian Topping, Senior Director of Advocacy & Civic Engagement at the Equality Federation, will then join Logan to share an analysis of anti-LGBTQ+ ballot measures moving through states – and the defense strategies needed to defeat them. Vivian will also discuss the importance of trans narrative work in this moment, providing real-world examples of how this work can impact how we move through this moment of heightened attack on our communities.
In this critical moment for LGBTQ+ communities, this virtual convening will offer:
- An exploration of evolving tactics in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and ballot measures, and a forecast of what we can expect in 2026
- An analysis of the importance of trans narrative work and how we can secure wins for our communities at the ballot box and beyond
- A candid discussion of the limitations and complexities of projecting these trends
Please note: You do not need to be a member of Funders for LGBTQ Issues to attend – this event is open to everyone.
