Gita Gulati-Partee

Gita Gulati-Partee is Founder and Principal of OpenSource Leadership Strategies, which builds equity mindsets, skill sets, and tool sets for social progress. Based in Durham, NC, Gita consults to funders and funder networks, advocacy groups, and leadership efforts around the country. She currently serves as Co-Director and Equity Advisor to Listen to Community, a resource and engagement hub that supports funders to listen in ways that can shift power to communities most harmed by structural racism and other systemic inequities. Gita has published and presented extensively on race equity, advocacy, and philanthropy. Most recently she co-authored Community on Board – A Tool for Shifting Power through Foundation Governance and two articles in a special issue of The Foundation Review focusing on “The Power of Listening to Communities.” Gita is an inaugural awardee of Borealis Philanthropy’s Racial Equity to Accelerate Change (REACH) Fund and a an inaugural National Racial Equity and Healing Fellow of the W.
