Get to Know Megan

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?

I love being a part of conversations where members figure things out together -- seeing our network in action!

WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO ALL DAY?

Plan, develop and implement our programming, including our learning communities, all-member offerings, and annual events and conferences. Day to day, that looks like emails and calls with members to understand what's happening in their worlds and how NCNG can best support them.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE?

I'm grateful for all of the arts and culture close by - I especially love the Durham County Library system.

MOST PLAYED SONG ON YOUR PLAYLIST?

Kishi Bashi's album Omoiyari is on repeat for me most often. It's my go-to for when I'm most anxious and overwhelmed because it grounds me. "Omoiyari" is the idea that thinking of others fosters compassion. Favorite song on the album: Marigolds.

FAVORITE BOOK?

Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande is a book I recommend to everyone I know.
